Ibrahim Mahama transports part of the train on its way to Tamale, RedClay Studios for the exhibition

Ghanaian and world-renowned contemporary artist Ibrahim Mahama is also CEO of Savannah Contemporary Art Center (SCCA) and RedClay Studio is an artist living and working in Accra, Kumasi and Tamale, Ghana. .
He began his practice with his interest in the history of materials and architecture.
Certain forms of failure and delay always determine his choice of location. In his opinion, the place is not only occupied by his work, but also within the work/object.
His work has been included in the 56th, 57th and 58th Venice Biennale, Documenta 14 in Athens and Kassel, Accra Orderly and Disorderly.
In March 2019, mahama opened SCCA tamale, an artist-run space dedicated to retrospectives on practices emerging from the 20th century.
He is also the CEO of RedClay Studio, one of Ghana’s most popular art venues, offering objects such as a former factory from the 1990s.
In a post spotted by Zolaonline’s Bukari Ayuba, the artist posted videos and images of the tracks that carry parts of the train from southern Ghana to northern Ghana and put them on display for those who would otherwise never be able to see them.
